With over 75 years of design experience in the Southern Nevada design market combined, managing principals, Deb Hopson and Barrett Powley offer full turn-key architecture and interior design services, creating value for all their clients, industry leaders and startups alike.
Encompass Studio works with a variety of clients, owners, developers and real estate professionals to design buildings and interiors where form, function and budget are as important as their visual outcome. Encompass studio is committed to the highest level of performance to ensure our clients reach their goals and inspiring visions. Both new and existing clients know that they will be treated ethically, responsibly and creatively.
The architecture and interior design studios share experience and expertise through an integrated exchange practice. Our studio acknowledges the strong skills of our staff. We encourage our staff to fully participate in the design process, resulting in shared and complete understanding of the project from beginning to end. Founding Partners
Deb Hopson
A graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design, Deb is responsible for directing the firm’s interior design projects through all phases of production. This includes overseeing all design work to maintain the high standards that Encompass Studio’s clients expect. A State of Nevada Registered Interior Designer, a Certified Interior Designer for the State of California and a NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer, she has practiced planning and interior design in both California and Nevada since 1985.
Deb guides the structure, implementation and coordination for each project, regardless of scale, with many years of project management experience, including past projects budgeting over 750 million dollars, this enables her to envision the whole design process down to the smallest detail.
Understanding and executing concise requirements reflects her strong technical background. She has a keen and professional flair for creative and innovative problem solving, construction documentation and project management. The resultant factor is a successful scheduled project completion within budget.
Barrett Powley, AIA, LEED AP
A licensed architect with two decades of experience in planning, architectural design, project management, documentation and administration, sees the big picture for our clients. He began his professional career designing and managing many different types of projects, including hotels, office and industrial, higher education, laboratories, convention centers, mixed-used retail lifestyle centers, parking garages, court facilities, high-rise residential, city halls, police and fire, state and federal, and educational k-12 buildings. No matter what the project type Barrett’s philosophy has always been client focused.
Barrett believes in an integrated approach to design which has proven effective in managing complex projects. This approach to solving problems has yielded the highest and best value to his clients. His strength is in consensus building and utilize the best talents on the team.
